How May We Help You?

If Your Question(s) is Not Among The Ones Listed Below…

FAQs

We hope to answer as many questions as we can to help you in making your decision to seek care with us.

What Is a Nurse Practitioner?

A Nurse Practitioner is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) who has graduate education that enables them to practice in various health care settings. Nurse Practitioners can Assess, Diagnose, and Prescribe medications. Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners specialize in providing mental healthcare to patients.

More details on who, and what Nurse Practitioners are can be reviewed in this site: Click Here

What Age Groups Do The Providers See?

We currently see patients aged between 10 – 64 years. For older clients, we recommend following up with a Geriatric Psychiatric Provider.

What Conditions Do You Treat?

We treat various conditions such as Anxiety, Depression and Bipolar Disorder. Please refer to our Services Page.

Are There Any Conditons You Don't Treat?

We currently do not treat Dementia and Neurodevelopmental Disorders such as Autism Spectrum Disorder. Please call us if you need help finding a provider who manages these conditions.

Do You Take My Insurance?

We are currently in-network and accepting clients with Aetna, Blue Cross & Blue Shield, Cigna, and Sana Benefits Insurances. We also accept Cash or Self Pay for those without behavioral health coverage on their policies, are un-insured, or are out of network.

I Have An Emergency. What Do I Do?

If experiencing any medical emergency, suicidal or homicidal thoughts, please call 911 or go to the nearest Emergency Room.

How Do I Get A Refill On My Medication?

Please check with your pharmacy first to see if they have a refill on file for you. If not, send a request through the client portal, or call the office. This applies to established patients only. If you are not an active patient with us, you can contact us to establish care.

Do You Prescribe Medications Such As XANAX?

While medications in this category (Benzodiazepines such as clonazepam, Valium, Xanax etc.) have their place in the treatment of anxiety, they can be habit forming. They also have adverse effects such as affecting one’s memory. We prefer to prescribe medications that are safer to use long term, and safer to wean off when you, or your loved one gets better.

What Is The Process Of Becoming A Patient?

You can send us a message on this website in the Contact Us section, or call our office at (817) 350 – 4377. We will then collect your history and insurance information. Once an Appointment date is set, we will send you Intake Questionnaires to complete before your appointment via the client portal.
